The Aligarh District Equestrain Association:
Mr. Ahmed Hussain Zubair was elected as the President of the Aligarh District Equestrain Association. Mr. Ahmed Hussain Zubair has been actively riding since the mid-eighties. He learnt Horse Riding Skills from The Aligarh Muslim University Riding Club.
Besides, Mr. Salim Bux Siddiqi, Former Coach, AMU Riding Club was elected as the Associations governing Vice-President.
Former Captain of the AMU Riding Club, Mr. Ahmad Afsar Sulaiman is the Chief General Secretary of The Aligarh District Equestrian Association.
Lt.Col. B.P.Singh is the Chief Veterinarian and Mr. Ameen A. Siddiqi (Ex-Commandant,BSF) was nominated as Treasurer. Mr. Athar Afsar is the Technical Advisor to the association.
The organisation was set-up for promotion and development of Equestrian Sports in Aligarh and the state of Uttar Pradesh with the help of U.P.Equestrain Association and Equestrain Federation of India.
The organisation is promoting horse riding in various schools in and around Uttar Pradesh.
Mr. Ahmad Afsar also promotes genuine players for their participation in National Equestrain Events especially The Delhi Horse Show, where his team participated in the Tent-Pegging events.
