» Digg teams with Microsoft to serve up ads
Digg.com has tapped Microsoft to sell and serve ads on its news ranking site.

Under the three-year deal, announced by the two companies yesterday, Microsoft will provide display and contextual advertising on Digg. Federated Media, which has been working with Digg as its advertising partner for the past year and a half, will continue to work with the site, focusing on integrated sponsorships and custom programs, according to Kevin Rose, Digg's founder.

"This move gives us an advertising partner with a larger organization and a more scalable technology platform to keep pace with Digg's growth," Rose wrote on his blog. "Best of all, it lets the Digg team completely focus on new feature development."
