Google is coming up with an innovative approach to monetize video streams on YouTube.
A transparent animated flash "overlays" will appear on selected videos on the bottom 20 percent of a video. The ad will play for 10 second and then the overlay closes out automatically.
Google will be rolling the ads out selectively and on a limited basis but more widely over time.
