Shares of Yahoo! Japan Corp., rose after Yahoo! Inc. and Microsoft Corp. discussed a possible partnership. Yahoo Japan's stock advanced 4.8 percent, the biggest gain since April 25, to 44,800 yen at the close on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The Nikkei 225 Stock Average climbed 1.6 percent.
