Google China allowing users to find news by first searching for images carried within articles. Google's move was mainly aimed at catching up with Baidu which already offers a similar search function.
In the category of OOPS! I'm sorry, Yahoo has apologized for providing information about online activities of one of its members to the Chinese government. The information given resulted in the member receiving 10 years in prison, in error.
Yahoo has settled the lawsuit brought to them over the two Chinese dissidents who were jailed illegally due to Yahoo handing over evidence to the Chinese government. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
